What happened at Youthfest 2008

Hello All,

Well we did it again  and boy how we did it. We had the best day with the weather, the stalls, the entertainment, and great food. For that I thank everyone.

I don’t know how many people were there,  but we had to obtain more food and drinks, which is always a good sign.

I would like to thank a few people who worked hard all day. Firstly the motley crew that did the food and drinks; I know you didn’t stop all day! Secondly the guys from East End Radio who managed the entertainment all day,  thirdly the police who did a great job once again (thanks lads and lasses),  and a special thank you to the guys from South Leytonstone Area Development Assoc. who without them I couldn’t do this. To Breyers for sponsoring us but also helping us out when we needed some things, and to all the stalls who came along and gave their time free of charge. I hope you are all up for next year.

A big thank you to Downsell Primary School. I hope you are as proud of the event as the rest of us are.

This year was bigger and hopefully better and I think everyone enjoyed it. But I must congratulate our stars for the day. Boy do we have talent in South Leytonstone! Where have you all been hiding? You proved we have a talented area. Thanks to all who took part and came just to have fun, for being great all day, you didn’t let us down, you did us all proud.

Our Youthfest,  is becoming famous now. I have been asked for permission and help in getting one set up in Hackney (which was held in May ) and in Suffolk for the Havebury Tenants Forum. That is down to you,  people like what they see,  so we will have to make ours even bigger next year.  We would really like some of you younger ones, as in younger than me,  to come on board so if you fancy the idea click on the contact us button.

So here's to next year.

The very proud Director of Youthfest.
